John Whitcomb
John (Whit) has been an avid “outdoorsman” since growing up in Hanover, NH and spending much of his time outside. Known for not sitting still very long, he enjoys every challenge you can throw at him. He may have acquired this trait from his grandfather, one of New Hampshire’s earliest guides.
John attended the Peter T. Paul Business School at the University of New Hampshire, where he competed in D1 Soccer and Ski Racing. Upon graduating, he knew he was not cut out for an office job. In life, as in sport, John tends to lean into challenges. This drive pointed his career toward the winter sports & outdoor industry.
Getting his start as a tech/race rep for Nordica, he quickly moved on to sales with Marker Ski Bindings. From Marker, John went on to represent K2 Skis with long time college & ski racing friend Scott Dawson. Together they formed what is now known as Stoneface Sales.
Scott Dawson
Scott Dawson grew in Massachusetts while also spending much time with his family in the White Mts of NH. He now lives in Portsmouth NH area along with his wife Cathy and their pets.
Scott graduated from the UNH Paul School of Business with a BA in Economics.
He was fortunate enough to be a “legacy” in the Snow/Outdoor business by following in the foot steps of his father , Joe Dawson. His early career includes stints with Rossignol, Marker, and Oakley before co-creating Stone Face Sales in 1999.
His hobbies and interests include Skiing, Golf, Mt Biking, Skiing and Wind Sports.
Kelsey Burke Kaknes
Raised in NH, Kelsey has been a winter enthusiast from a young age, constantly carrying her skis up her parents’ hill for a 2-turn “backcountry” run. She now lives on the Maine Seacoast with her husband, daughter and dogs and still spends her winters looking for turns.
Kelsey graduated from the University of New Hampshire, and it was during college she found her love for the ski industry. While working in a local ski shop, Kelsey connected with Scott & Whit and joined Stoneface Sales first as a part time helper, and became a full time member of the team in 2013.
When she’s not skiing, Kelsey enjoys mountain biking, surfing, paddle boarding and cruising the local trails with her family.
Avert Guldemond
Born and raised in Laconia, NH. Daycare came in the form of Snowboarding at Gunstock. Avert’s parents became the Directors of the U.S.A.S.A Snowboard Competition Series when he was 12. He was raised hosting snowboard contests around New England for 17 years.
Avert is a Plymouth State Alumni, who now calls the NH Seacoast home. He has many interests including; wine and cider making, woodworking, dirt bikes, DJing, and mountain biking. His new motivation is centered on being the ultimate "Rad Dad".
